Built on Real Business Challenges
We started corivastelo back in 2019 because we kept watching businesses struggle with the same problems. Cash flow forecasting that took forever. Process documentation scattered across fifteen different folders. Teams spending hours on work that could be streamlined. And honestly? We'd been there ourselves.
How We Got Started
Before corivastelo existed, I was working with a manufacturing client who couldn't figure out why their accounts receivable kept ballooning. Turned out their invoicing process had seven manual steps and nobody had actually mapped it out in years. We spent three weeks just documenting what was actually happening versus what people thought was happening.
That project changed everything. The client cut their payment cycle by 18 days just by removing redundant approval steps and automating reminders. Nothing fancy—just clear processes and better visibility.
So we built corivastelo around that insight. Not as consultants who parachute in with theories, but as educators who help teams understand their own financial operations well enough to fix them.
What Actually Matters to Us
Real-World Application
We teach financial concepts using actual scenarios from Australian businesses. Not textbook examples—real invoices, actual cash flow statements, genuine payroll complications. Because learning works better when you recognize the problems.
Practical Over Perfect
You don't need a perfect system tomorrow. You need better processes next week. We focus on incremental improvements that actually stick rather than massive overhauls that fall apart after three months.
Honest Limitations
Some business challenges need accountants, not education. We're upfront about what training can solve and what requires different expertise. Nobody benefits from overselling capabilities.
People Behind the Programs
Cedric Thorburn
Program DirectorI spent twelve years in operations before moving into education. The transition taught me that most financial confusion isn't about intelligence—it's about translation. My job is turning complex financial systems into something your team can actually use on Tuesday morning.
Sienna Blackwood
Learning Design LeadI design our programs around how people actually learn when they're busy running a business. That means short modules you can finish between meetings, templates you can customize immediately, and follow-up support when questions come up three weeks later.
What You Can Expect From Us
We're not here to promise transformation or revolutionary breakthroughs. We teach financial process improvement to Australian businesses who want clearer systems and more efficient workflows. Programs run throughout 2025 and early 2026, designed for people who need practical skills they can apply immediately.
